You can use the following sentence beginnings to provide evidence for your reading

Singular-plural rule: when nouns end in "y", change the "y" to "i" then add "es"

Pantry-Pantries
Country-Countries
Quantity- Quantities
Territory-Territories
Mystery-Mysteries
Delicacy-Delicacies
Library-Libraries
Factory-Factories

    Yes, great rule to remember that when nouns end in y and you are creating plurals, you drop the y then add ies.
